WHAT SURVIVES THIRTY YEARS OF POLYGONS
======================================

From Softimage to Blender and Unreal: the tools change every few years, the
eye does not. A short field note.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tools come and go. Softimage, Flame, Maya, Lightwave, XSI, Blender, Unreal.
The buttons moved around, the names changed, the vendors disappeared.
What stayed:
1. Looking. Knowing why a frame feels wrong before you can say what is
wrong with it.
2. Restraint. The best shots usually remove something.
3. Patience with noise. Grain, bad light and dirty edges are a language,
not an error.
This is why the fanzine is grainy. The noise is the point.
